ITC's mission is to enable small business export success in developing and transition-economy countries, by providing, with partners, sustainable and inclusive development solutions to the private sector, trade support institutions and policymakers.

In 2007 and 2008, the International Trade Centre (ITC) collaborated with a number of stakeholders across the SADC region in developing a programme called the Supply Chain and Logistics Development for facilitating intra-regional trade in the SADC region. The goal of SCLP is to build know-how on supply chain and logistics management processes and strengthen human and institutional capacity in these areas.

The overall objective of this project is to assist developing producers of Fresh Fruits and Vegetables (FFV) in South Africa to access international markets, particularly the EU by; enhancing productive capacities, compliance with technical requirements and promoting certification. The NAMC acts as Project Management Unit and our role is to centrally coordinate, delegate, backstop and monitor the delivery of project activities.
