This chapter attempts to increase the awareness of climate change policy measures and their potential effect on trade development. It assesses the carbon emissions embodied in traded goods, specifically the South African fruits exports. This is conducted through the employment of life cycle assessment method based on British greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting principles.
