BM Mpyana is a young vibrant agricultural economist having obtained his BSc (hons) From the University of Limpopo and Masters in agricultural economics from the Northwest University (Potchefstroom Campus). BM Mpyana has over 4 years’ experience working with the 11 agricultural trusts (valued at over R2.4 billion worth of assets) and participating in various transformation committees including Potatoes SA and Milk SA. He is a member of the Agricultural Economists Association of South Africa (AEASA). BM Mpyana has participated at various international platforms including International Food and Agribusiness Management Association (IFAMA) world conference in June 2016 in Aarhus, Denmark. In 2018, represented South Africa in the seminar on modern agricultural management for the developing countries in China. Having started his professional career at the National Agricultural Marketing Council (NAMC) as an agricultural economist trainee in 2014, have published numerous articles focusing on the transformation of the smallholder farming in the agricultural sector.
