MR. PATRICK KUBAI

Mr Patrick Kubai is an accomplished public sector governance and risk management expert with over 15 years external audit experience in the public sector. He has over 10 year post qualification experience as a Chartered Accountant South Africa (CA(SA)) with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) and a Registered Auditor (RA) with the Independent Regulatory Board for Auditors (IRBA). Mr Kubai has led external audit projects of various complex strategic state-owned entities in the country during his tenure at the Auditor General of South Africa. He has solid knowledge regarding the Public Finance Management Act and is regulations as issued by the National Treasury. Mr Kubai is a Director and Head of Audit at MGI RAS Incorporated and is responsible for the Assurance and Advisory Service lines in the firm. He also holds a masters in taxation. Mr Kubai is passionate about sound governance in the public sector and as such service in the various governance structures in the public sector to assist entities address audit findings that affects the audit outcomes, he drives accountability of improvements in audit outcomes in the public sector.
