ABOUT THE PROGRAMME

The EU Wine and Spirits Sector Fund is a European Union-funded programme aimed at supporting the transformation, growth, and competitiveness of South Africa’s wine and spirits industry. The programme consists of a Transformation Component implemented by the Land Bank and a Marketing and Distribution Component implemented by the National Agricultural Marketing Council (NAMC). Its primary objective is to strengthen participation by Black-owned enterprises, improve market access, support brand development, and create sustainable socio-economic opportunities across the wine and spirits value chain.

Through this programme, businesses, researchers, and community-focused organisations can access support to drive market expansion, generate industry insights, and promote sustainable development in wine-producing communities.
