The NAMC was established in terms of the Marketing of Agricultural Products Act No. 47 of 1996, as amended by Act No 59 of 1997 and Act No. 52 of 2001. We are a statutory body reporting to the Minister of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development.

Is it important to complete Job Application Form?

Please complete Job Application Form if you are applying for an advertised position. You should fill this form completely, accurately, and legibly because it is used to assist the NAMC in selecting a candidate for an advertised position since all applicants cannot be interviewed.

Do you conduct background checks?

All shortlisted candidates will be subjected to the necessary security and information verification such as criminal record checks and qualifications. NAMC reserves the right not to make an appointment.

What is the performance agreement I am expected to sign?

This is the performance agreement made and entered into by the employer and the employee. The duration of the Agreement is for one year where-after a new Performance Agreement shall be concluded between the parties for the next financial year or any portion thereof.

The purpose of the agreement is to:

i. Specify objectives and targets established for the Employee and to communicate to the Employee the Employer’s expectations of the Employee’s performance targets and accountabilities;
ii. Specify accountabilities as set out in the Performance Plan;
iii. Monitor and measure performance against set targeted outputs and outcomes;
iv. Establish a transparent and accountable working relationship;
v. Appropriately reward the employee; and
vi. Give effect to the Employer’s commitment to a performance-orientated relationship with the Employee in attaining improved service delivery.

Are there bursary opportunities or Graduate Programmes available?

NAMC’s bursary opportunities and or graduate programme are advertised on annual basis towards the end of year, beginning of January. Alerts are also be posted here.
