The National Agricultural Marketing Council works with stakeholders across the agricultural divide (government, business, farmers, associations, donors) for the benefit of improving agricultural efficiency and promoting marketing. The three initiatives are a result of growing stakeholder requests (branding RSA agriculture), monitoring state of agricultural infrastructure (SIP 11) and addressing youth apathy in agriculture (Y-Agriculture).

Y Agriculture

The Youth-Agriculture programme dubbed Y-Agriculture was developed in 2014 to enhance the agriculture sector’s corporate career offerings and to promote skills development.

SIP 11

SIP stands for Strategic Integrated Project and there are 18 of these projects, all of which are under the Presidency-initiated and coordinated National Infrastructure Plan.

Branding SA Agriculture

This is an initiative coordinated by the NAMC with the support of the agricultural CEO’s forum.
