The avocado value chain comprises producers, who either operate at a commercial or small-scale basis. Small-scale producers primarily supply the domestic market while commercial producers can supply both the local and international markets. Exporters are major value chain actors, most especially since the industry is export-oriented with more the 40% of the produce being exported.
